WHO IS LOOKING OUT FOR YOU?
October 2009
Is Jim Waldman representing your interests?  Do his actions in Tallahassee reflect
your concerns and core beliefs?  Let's take a quick look at his voting record during
2007.  Then you decide.

HB 1B: Ad Valorem Taxation (also known as Amendment 1) was a bill to protect
homeowners by requiring local governments to cut "tax and spend" policies that had
been running wildly uncontrolled during the housing bubble.  Floridians voted for
the amendment.  The state legislature voted almost unanimously to pass the
subsequent bill.  ONLY ONE VOTE was cast AGAINST HB 1B.  Who cast that
single, dissenting vote?  You guessed it--Representative Jim Waldman!
HB 1231: The Prostitution Act was designed to protect victims of sex trafficking,
and especially to protect minors from such crimes.  Procuring a minor for
prostitution, forcing a person into prostitution, and sex trafficking were defined as
first-degree felonies, thereby increasing the penalty for such offenses.  Rep.
Waldman voted against this bill.
HB 71: Florida Unborn Victims of Violence Act addressed the killing of an unborn child by injury to the mother.
The bill defined such killing of an unborn child as murder, regardless of whether the person committing the
offense knew the victim was pregnant or committed the offense with intent to harm the unborn child.  Rep.
Waldman voted against this bill.
This is not the type of representation I want for my family and the community where I live.  I hope you will
stand with me and consider making a contribution to my campaign.  Together, we can bring back responsible
government that answers to the people.
