I want to start this letter off letting you know that on Saturday,
April 18, at 4:47 in the morning, my wife, Catherine, and I were
blessed with the birth of our eighth child. Born weighing ten
pounds, Arrow Inhand Yardley (in reference to Psalms 127:3-5)
came into this world with a smile and a scream. Both Catherine
and Arrow are doing fine, and our other seven children are
helping out around the house.
I also wanted to mention that I have been going door to door
through the neighborhoods in our District, and I have met up
with a lot of really nice people. The one thing they all had in
common was that they were tired of our government officials
not listening to them anymore. They were all fed up with the
constant tax and fee increases, and tired of having all of their
services cut to the bone. They find it even more disheartening when they find out that their so-called
representative, Jim Waldman, doesn't even live in the district he is supposed to be representing. How is he
supposed to understand what the tax payers in our community are going through when he bends the law in order
to live in his $800,000 mansion up north?
One of the things you will learn about my campaign is that I am not a politician. I speak plainly and openly, and
wonder why the rest of our politicians can't do the same. Why do they have to bend the laws to benefit
themselves instead of following the laws in order to benefit their constituents?
Over the course of my campaign, because that is what this is, you will find that, unlike Waldman, I have lived in
District 95 for over 20 years and I am ready to wage war. He is an intruder into our community who would
rather think he is representing the people by preventing bad bills instead of actually representing the people and
helping pass good bills. I am sure that after three years of not passing a single bill that Waldman is hoping to
distract you with whatever rhetoric he can come up with. The simple point of all of this is that Waldman has
failed to represent the people of our district, or pass any meaningful legislation, so it is time for Waldman to step
aside so someone else can get the job done.
Thank you for following my progress through these monthly updates, and please consider donating whatever
you can spare to help me get elected. Together we can bring back responsible government.
